Below is a map of the proposal produced by Camden Council. Two notes to aid interpretation:

  • Modal filter: After being asked for translation, Camden officers told us that “Modal filter” means a chain of bollards across the street, blocking cars and vans but permitting bikes.
  • Camera-monitored restriction: These are Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. These automatically read the number plates of anyone passing through and impose fines on the registered owner of vehicles that are not permitted into the area. Ordinarily, those permitted are those registered to an address in the area, emergency vehicles, and the like, but may also include delivery vans.

Below are the two emails sent by Camden transport officers to local councillors telling them their intention to adopt the scheme this August.
